Where are you based? Are you willing to travel?
I am based in Athens, GA and spend a lot of my spare time between Augusta and the metro Atlanta area. I am more than willing to travel within a 2 hour radius of Athens. Travel fees may apply.
Do you have any formal photography training or education?
I obtained a certificate in general photography after completing the course and passing the exam at Athens Technical College. This course was extremely beneficial and informative. However, the old adage "practice makes perfect" holds a lot of weight here. A lot of what I have learned about photography has been from a ton of practice and trial and error.
How many photos will I receive after my session?
This depends on the type of session you book and the length of your session. The number of photos for each type/length of session are listed under the Sessions page of my website.
How do we get our photos?
Your online viewing gallery will be sent to you via text or email link.
How do we obtain a download and print release?
Your download and print releases will be sent to you via email at the same time your gallery is sent out.
Whats your turn around time?
Again, this depends on the type of session you book and the length of your session. My normal turnaround time for mini sessions or half sessions is one week or less, 2-3 weeks for full sessions, and 2-10 weeks for weddings.
Can you explain the difference between full, hALF, AND MINI SESSIONS?
Absolutely! Full sessions are an hour long, half sessions are 30 minutes long, and mini sessions are between 10-20 minutes long. Mini sessions cannot be requested by the client. I do several themed mini sessions throughout the year on specific days and times (Fall, Holiday, Spring, etc.)
What are the benefits of a mini session? I mean, how many pictures can you honestly take in such a short period of time?
Mini sessions are less expensive than a half or full session. 10-20 minutes may not sound like a reasonable amount of time to capture good images, but I normally take 60-200+ photos during a mini session.

I saw on your "Sessions & Pricing" page that there's an additional fee for the use of a photography venue. Can you explain more?
Photography venues provide different set ups and backgrounds for photographers to rent and use with clients. The most common ones I use are O5 Farms and Prospect Farms. Except for mini sessions, the cost of using a photography venue is added to my session fees. Venue fees start at $45 and can go up to $100. For more information on venue set ups and costs, please contact me directly. Venue fees are included in the cost of all mini sessions.
Do you only do sessions at photography venues?
Absolutely not! While photography venues are wonderful and beautiful, some of my favorite sessions are the ones done in public parks, open fields, and inside clients' homes. I am happy to accomodate any location or setting idea you have!
What should we wear? Do you have a style guide?
I can definitely provide you with style guides and outfit ideas. I also have a list of do's and don'ts that I'm happy to share with you!
What is your editing style?
Depending on the mood or location of a session, it can slightly vary, but overall, I am a true to color photographer.
Weather policy
Georgia weather can be very unpredictable, especially in the summer months. It rains when rain isn't predicted in the forecast, and it doesn't rain when the forecast says there's a 99% chance that it will. Extended weather forecasts change day to day, and sometimes they change hour to hour. Extended weather forecasts are generally not a good indication of whether or not sessions will need to be rescheduled due to inclement weather. Sometimes, the forecast on the day of your session may not be very accurate either until closer to your actual session start time. For these reasons, the decision to reschedule sessions due to the threat of inclement weather is generally not made until three hours (or less) before the session start time. Exceptions can be made, of course, if clients are traveling a long distance or for other extenuating weather related circumstances. Inclement weather is defined as heavy rain, thunderstorms, hail, snow, or if a weather emergency has been declared by the national or local weather services. Your safety is a top priority for me, so if there is a threat of lightning/thunderstorm, torrential downpour, or a weather emergency has been declared within three hours of your session start time, I will be happy to reschedule your session for the nearest date and time that is suitable for both of us. If a venue has been rented for your session (Prospect Farms, O5 Farms, etc.), the same inclement weather policy will apply. Venues generally will not allow rescheduling except in cases of inclement weather also.
Clouds, mist, or very light rain (especially if the location of your session is partially or fully covered), will not prevent the session from happening. Rescheduling will not be an option in these circumstances.
When envisioning the weather during your session, most clients hope for the sun to brightly shine and for the sky to be cloudless. Rarely do people wish for dark and cloudy skies and a threat of rain. If this happens to you on the day of your session, please do not be discouraged! While I, too, am in love with sunshine, I have also fallen just as in love with cloudy days since becoming a photographer. See below some of the photos that have been taken with clouds covering the sky or within a couple of hours of rain stopping.
